Shiva Hotels has announced it has joined the NHS and Thames Valley Police in order to help “those most in need” during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The brand said that for many, including victims of domestic violence, exploitation, food deprivation, and key workers staying away from their families, “their normal has been completely eroded” as a result of the virus.
The brand said it has now delivered on providing support to key groups of people during this “difficult time”. Working with Thames Valley Police and local community groups, the hotels are providing a safe haven for those facing this “new normal”.
Shiva Hotels is also collaborating with local emergency services including London Ambulance to provide support for NHS key workers at Waterloo and Nightingale Hospitals, food support for the Slough Homeless and Food for All, bedrooms for St. Richards Hospice, and are “open and able” to provide support to key workers across all its hotels.
Rishi Sachdev, of Shiva Hotels, said: “If there is ever a time when people, communities and sectors can come together, now is it. We are offering our hotels towards a collective responsibility to support those who need it the most.”
Established in 2001, Shiva Hotels has currently over 2,000 bedrooms in London either operational or under development, these include five Hilton branded group properties.
